There is nothing more quintessentially English than a climbing rose adorned with colourful blooms and a haunting perfume decorating the wall of a house or gracing an Arch or Pergola.
Climbers are easy to grow and reward us with height, colour and perfume.
As a general rule all the Climbers will repeat flower, providing blooms in Summer and Autumn. Rambling roses usually only have one very intense flowering period for about six weeks in early or mid Summer. Ramblers are more vigorous than climbers, best for growing into trees or covering substantial areas quickly. Climbers are more moderate in growth (2 or 3 metres tall on average) and better suited to many modern gardens.
