Named several years ago for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this cheery rose has a colour that is evocative of the Flanders poppy. A bright scarlet red. It is widely planted in the continental wargraves, where it has proved reliable and has a long flowering period and neat compact habit. A good rose to add a bright spark of colour. The leaf is glossy and mid green. Use in beds, borders or hedges and as a cut flower.
