New Harkness Roses Introduced at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025

Each year, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show sets the stage for extraordinary horticultural moments, and 2025 is no exception. At Harkness Roses, we’re proud to unveil two very special new varieties making their grand debut at this year’s show.

These introductions celebrate both beauty and purpose, combining exceptional garden performance with inspiring charitable partnerships.

Whether you’re drawn to romantic scent, stunning colour, or the chance to support vital causes through your garden, these roses promise something truly meaningful.

Catherine’s Rose

Catherine’s Rose, introduced by Harkness Roses at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Catherine’s Rose is a stunning floribunda. The highlights are a mid to dark Rose Pink colour, a rich strong rose perfume, with hints of Mango, a scent to transport you to happy childhood memories. It is easy to grow in most garden situations, a result of our rigorous testing of new varieties where we haven’t applied fungicides since 1994.

The flowers that treat us to this beautiful perfume and the subtle pink shades are produced in startling abundance, clusters can have up to 15 blooms, each flower measuring between 8 and 12 cm.

£5 (excluding VAT) from the sale of each rose plant will be paid to Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign Trading Company Limited (Company No. 04722285) in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity (Registered Charity No. 1095197).

The Elton John AIDS Foundation Rose

The Elton John Aids Foundation Rose, introduced by Harkness Roses at the 2025 Chelsea Flower Show

The Elton John AIDS Foundation Rose is a show-stopping Hybrid Tea, offering a performance as bold and beautiful as its namesake. This captivating rose puts on a prolonged display from June to November, with blooms that open a soft pearly pink and deepen to vibrant cherry blossom tones as they mature.

Each flower is packed with up to 50 petals and can appear in clusters of up to seven, for a true floral spectacle. Fragrance is a highlight too, with a distinctive perfume blending melon, classic rose, and a hint of citronella.

Strong, glossy foliage provides a stunning contrast, and with excellent disease resistance, this variety is as reliable as it is eye-catching. Growing to around 1 metre tall and spreading to 80 cm, it’s ideal for beds, borders, or larger patio pots.

For every rose sold, £5 will be donated to The Elton John AIDS Foundation (registered charity number 1017336), supporting their vital work in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
