Description

With elegant and pure-white clusters of large blooms 'Starlight Symphony' is a variety that you are guaranteed to love.

The pedigree of this prolific flowering and pollinator-friendly climbing rose is clear for all to see, as a previous winner of the coveted 'Rose of the Year' award.

Sustainably grown in peat-free compost, this rose is supplied in recycled plastic pots, and provides superb shelter for small mammals and birds, thanks to the healthy foliage that grows. Climbing roses are a delight for the environment, as they grow quickly with plenty of leaves - perfect to produce oxygen.

This rose will produce hips during autumn, containing the seeds of the plant. The bright colour will attract plenty of birds, which will eat the hips and distribute the seeds. The trusses of flowers seen on this climbing rose turn into hundreds of handy hips.

Roses, such as ‘Starlight Symphony’, play an important role in ecosystems producing food for pollinators such as bees and hoverflies. Our roses have been grown to be rich in pollen, with flower shapes that allow the insects to reach it easily, and their long flowering season makes them extra valuable. Rose plants also host a range of insects that in turn provide food for birds.

For every rose sold, we are proud to donate £2.50 to the RSPB (Registered Charity in England and Wales no. 207076, Scotland no. SC037654) As the UK’s largest nature conservation charity, the RSPB strives to save species, protect habitats, and help to end the ongoing climate and nature emergency.

Supplied freshly in 3L pot, ready to be planted out, ‘Starlight Symphony’ will climb to approximately 300cm tall x 270cm wide. Please note at certain times of the year this variety may be supplied in a 4L pot.

We always endeavour to provide beautifully formed plants; however, our roses will naturally start to lose their leaves from October to prepare for the colder months. Do not worry though, as they will flourish once again with leaves and buds in the spring. Please, make sure you consider the season when purchasing our remarkable roses for yourself or loved ones.

Manufactured under licence from RSPB Sales Limited to raise awareness of the RSPB (charity registration in England and Wales no 207076 and Scotland no SC037654).

For all licensed Products sold by The Harkness Rose Company Ltd, The Harkness Rose Company Ltd will donate a minimum of £10,000 per annum to RSPB Sales Ltd, which gives all its distributable profits through Gift Aid to the RSPB.
