'Charles de Mills' is a historic rose with richly coloured blooms and an intensely strong fragrance - blooming from a compact plant, ideal for smaller garden spots.
Each flower is fully double, deeply cupped and layered with countless petals in vivid magenta-purple tones. The blooms are densely packed and occasionally reveal a small green eye at the centre of each.
Flowering once a year in early summer, 'Charles de Mills' becomes a shrub of sumptuous colour and perfume, with the mid-green foliage forming a perfect foil for the abundance of blooms.
Compact and reliable, growing to about 1.2m, this rose is particularly striking when planted en masse or as a low, informal hedge. It's fully hardy, vigorous and easy to grow.
A holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, 'Charles de Mills' is a timeless rose for beauty and fragrance.
Supplied as a bare root rose, ready to plant.
