Some roses earn their place in the garden simply by being beautiful. 'Youth Without Limits' is something rather more special.
Created by the world-renowned rose breeders Harkness Roses in support of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, this magnificent new Floribunda was launched at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2026, as the DofE celebrates an extraordinary 70 years of helping young people discover just what they can achieve.
And every rose sold helps make a genuine difference.
For every 'Youth Without Limits' rose purchased, £5 is donated to The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, helping the charity give more young people the opportunity to develop confidence, resilience, skills and self-belief.
It is an inspiring cause, but Harkness have also bred a truly exceptional garden rose to carry its name.
The generously filled, beautifully rounded blooms can reach around 9cm across, opening in glorious clusters of rich golden amber and warm yellow. As each flower matures, the petals gradually soften towards creamy ivory, while the outer edges take on a wonderful blush of warm pink. Every bloom is slightly different, with the display continuing to change as the flowers age.
There is fragrance to enjoy too. Lean closer and you'll discover a delicate spicy perfume with subtle hints of clove and cinnamon.
And, as you would expect from the Harkness stable, 'Youth Without Limits' has been bred for much more than good looks. Its glossy, dark-green foliage is strong, healthy and impressively disease resistant, while the compact habit, approximately 75cm tall and 60cm wide, makes it equally suited to rose beds, mixed borders and large patio pots.
Best of all, this is a repeat-flowering rose, producing fresh clusters of blooms throughout summer and returning to create another spectacular display year after year.
