'Eden '88' unites the opulent flower form of an old-fashioned rose with the lasting impact of a dependable, repeat-flowering climber.
Its generous double blooms combine creamy outer petals with increasingly rich pink tones towards the centre. Displayed against deep green leaves, their delicately shaded colouring brings unmistakable romance to walls, trellises and garden archways.
The first flowers arrive around the beginning of summer. Rather than disappearing after a single flush, the display returns throughout the warmer months and can continue until the first frosts.
Its vigorous, strong stems are easily directed around a sturdy structure, gradually clothing it in foliage and flowers. The rose can also be grown in a substantial container and maintained as a supported patio shrub where a full climbing display is not required.
Long stems make the flowers especially useful for cutting. Their abundance of petals and gentle transition from cream to pink produce an elegant arrangement for the home.
Plant in a sunny, open position with fertile, well-drained soil. Water well while the roots establish, secure new growth to its support and feed during the growing season. Container-grown specimens will need closer attention to watering.
Supplied as a bare root climbing rose, ready to plant.
