Rose 'Hot Chocolate' flowers begins as vivid burnt-orange buds, then open into broad, smoky chocolate-red blooms, each up to 10cm across. Against dark green foliage, the result is rich, dramatic and unmistakably different.
Each bloom carries an intense old-rose perfume. The flowers also cut beautifully, so their remarkable colouring and scent becomes part of indoor arrangements.
'Hot Chocolate' has earned the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and was even crowned 'Rose of the Year' for 2006, as it's both easy to grow and disease resistant.
Place it where the flowers can be studied as they develop from glowing buds into deep, smouldering blooms. A prominent bed or border close to a path or seating area will make the most of both the colour and the fragrance.
For gardeners who believe a rose should offer character as well as beauty, 'Hot Chocolate' is a memorable choice with proven garden credentials.
Supplied as a bare root rose, ready to plant.
