RHS award-winning and richly fragrant - the perfect climbing rose for coating a wall or arbour in velvety crimson blooms.
Rose 'Climbing Étoile de Hollande' produces long, elegant buds that open into large, double flowers in a deep crimson-red, with the colour intensifying towards rich burgundy as summer temperatures rise. The first generous flush arrives in June and July, creating a bold sweep of colour against the plant's dense, dark green foliage.
Further flowers continue to appear up to autumn, extending the season and providing a steady supply of richly coloured stems for cutting. Indoors, the blooms bring the same romantic colour and alluring musk fragrance enjoyed in the garden.
Growing to 3.5m or more, this vigorous climber has the scale to cover substantial walls, arbours, arches and sturdy supports. Its upright growth and abundant foliage create an impressive framework.
Fully hardy and recognised with the RHS Award of Garden Merit, 'Climbing Étoile de Hollande' combines proven garden performance with the timeless appeal of an old Hybrid Tea rose.
Supplied as a bare root rose, ready to plant.
