Description

A blending painter's palette of pastel colours are the headline feature of this rose, with a swirling range from light apricot and amber, to cream. These calming colours contrast so well against the dark green foliage of the 'Susan Daniel' rose. Two further hallmarks of this rose are its incredibly healthy leaves and long-flowering nature.

Named after opera singer Susan Daniel, who met former Harkness Roses MD Robert Harkness at annual rose competition, The Hague, where she revealed the only rose at the time growing in her garden with a label was 'Ena Harkness', the red rose named after his great-aunt.

Launched at the 2004 Chelsea Flower Show, and was later planted in the Archbishop of Canterbury's garden at Lambeth Palace and at Canterbury Cathedral. One hundred 'Susan Daniel' roses were planted at the feet of the statue of Leonardo da Vinci in the City of Milan during a ceremony in 2006 on the singer's birthday.

Supplied as a freshly potted, established rose in a 4 litre pot, ready to plant.

We always endeavour to provide beautifully formed plants; however, our roses will naturally start to lose their leaves from October to prepare for the colder months. Do not worry though, as they will flourish once again with leaves and buds in the spring. Please, make sure you consider the season when purchasing our remarkable roses for yourself or loved ones.
