Rose moyesii 'Geranium' is a vigorous, healthy shrub rose, with impressive summer flowering and wildlife appeal.
Flowering once from late spring to midsummer each year, with long arching stems lined with single, five-petalled flowers of the most vivid crimson-red. The petals have a slightly waxy sheen, catching the light beautifully, while the pale stamens gleam at the centre of each 6cm bloom.
After the flowers fade, large, bottle-shaped hips ripen to a deep glossy red, bringing colour to the autumn and winter garden, and are a valuable food source for hungry birds.
Reaching around 2.5m tall, 'Geranium' forms a naturally arching shrub that can also be trained as a climber. It's ideal for the back of a border, along a fence, or grown as a standalone specimen where its long stems can arch freely. The foliage is a lovely fresh green, setting off the flowers and hips to perfection.
Plus, this variety holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and is recognised as an RHS 'Plant for Pollinators'. Tough, hardy and easy to manage, it thrives in most soil types and offers good disease resistance.
Supplied as an established, freshly potted rose in a 4 litre pot, ready to plant.
